The Real Enemy
Emotions are always good, they simply feel bad sometimes. Your goal is not to get rid of emotions, as emotions serve the most important role of telling you when you are out of alignment with your highest self. The real enemy is bad vibrations. Bad vibrations attract bad things, and when you feel bad emotions then you are on bad vibration alert. The trick is to listen to the emotions and then change accordingly.
When the oil light of your car comes on, you know what to do (or should), you put oil in. When you focus on what you don’t want your emotional warning light switches on and you shift your focus back to what you do want. Many people don’t know how to do this, or even that they should, and just carry on worrying. Eventually they will end up with a whole lot more of what they don’t want.
Learn to listen to your emotions, the instant you feel “bad” beginning to happen, then you know that you are focusing on what you don’t want. At the point, acknowledge the focus, feel grateful towards the gift of emotions, and then choose to focus on what you do want and allow your emotions to shift into “good”.
