Telling Your Story
Are you surrounded by people who complain? Are you a complainer yourself? That’s just telling your story as it is. Try something different, try telling it like you want it. Changing the way you tell your story can change your life.
Complaining is just telling people about what you don’t want in life, and it is usually accompanied by a lot of bad feelings. When you catch yourself complaining, or talking negatively, then just stop yourself and start telling it as you want it to be. So “My boss shows me no respect,” becomes, “I want a boss that shows me respect,” and allow yourself to experience how it would feel to have a boss that respects you. Try it.
Life responds to feelings, not language, so telling it as you want it steers you towards the most resourceful feelings, that’s what makes the change.
